America can’t afford another fiscal conservative

Fiscal Conservatism illustrated: Ronald Reagan = $200 billion deficit; George H. Bush = $300 billion deficit; Bill Clinton, the “tax & spend Liberal,” $200 billion SURPLUS; George W. Bush = $482 billion deficit. And, remember, John McCain claims to be a fiscal conservative.

Clearly, it’s time that we elect more “tax & spend Liberals,” because America can’t afford another fiscal conservative.

  1. The term “fiscal conservative” is code for a politician who is reluctant to spend money on social issues. Just like a “compassionate conservative” is someone who cares about education and the poor but doesn’t do very much for them.

The term “fiscal conservative” doesn’t seem to have any relevance to spending on the military or a bridge to nowhere.
