Crazy Like a Fox, by Billmon.org

Here’s further proof of why Billmon.org rules: Crazy Like a Fox. Just to what extent are Fox News and the White House (better yet, the Republican Party establishment) in bed? Read Billmon’s post.

Richard A. Clarke on NPR’s Fresh Air

“Clinton was accused of wagging the dog… if anybody has wagged the dog, is not Bill Clinton, is George Bush.” Let me ask, How can Bush continue to claim that he has done such a great job on the so-called War on Terror? How can we continue to support a president that mislead us into an unnecessary war?

To date, 586 US servicemen and women have lost their lives in Iraq. During the same period, 2,920 military personnel have had their lives altered due to some sort of combat related injury… All, I’m sure, believed that they were sacrificing in defense of their fellow citizens… We’ve all been deceived.

If you haven’t heard testimony from Richard A. Clarke before, a 30 year veteran of the Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II White House, I urge you to listen to this radio interview.

Richard A. Clarke Before the 9/11 Commission

This is truly incredible testimony, Richard A. Clarke takes no prisoners and is not backing down from his charge that the Bush Administration dropped the ball regarding Al Queda after they came into office. Click to listen to the live testimony, courtesy of Washington Post.

Yadda, yadda, yadda

I’m constantly amazed by the insight and clarity of this guy’s writing, Billmon.org.

Billmon explains how in the 80’s the Republican Party courted Vietnam Vets, but now that Vets may have one of their own to vote for, the Republican Party seems to be saying, “Ah, why even pretend that we care… Yadda, yadda, yadda. We can do without.”

“No terror state poses a greater or more immediate threat to the security of our people and the stability of the world than the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq.”
